love

another rough scene from our upcoming film

a few years back, when our family was learning to homestead, watched a lot of videos of a fellow by the name of justin rhodes. then, made the trip down to film with him and his family for our upcoming documentary who will feed us?

watching him work with his kids was a gift. they were never forced~ but a lot of the time ended up working anyways. the kids were joyful, sociable, and really good at getting complex tasks done around the homestead. milking cows, taking down fences and moving cattle.

justin was always finding ways to make the work fun. to give a little bit more responsibility, to teach a new lesson about how to do something slightly better, save some time with a fancy trick.

he’s clearly living his dream life, and it was a privilege to witness. for those looking to learn, check him out..

above is an unpolished scene from who will feed us? which basically means there’s still sound mixing to do, and perhaps some pacing to adjust, narration to rewrite/rerecord. with that said, we’re in the very final stages of the edit now, and very ready to get the film done and to share it with all of you. which will happen on tuesday december 30th!

until then, here’s to sure decisions, brilliant insight and fast exports!

best thoughts,

graham
